Recovery Technician

Provides client support and monitors client adherence to program rules and guidelines.

Perform drug test sample collection, provide transportation in company vehicle, provide client accompaniment on offsite activities, participate in client activities routines to assist in the development of healthy lifestyle habits, medication monitoring. Report to Operations Director for all staffing needs, and report to Activities Director for all scheduling needs.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent

  • 1-2 Years experience in Behavioral Health or similar caretaking field

  • Computer Skills: To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of word processing software.

  • Certificates and Licenses: Current CPR and First Aid certificate; Current tuberculosis test; Valid driver's license.

  • Knowledge, Skills and Other Abilities: Professionalism; Oral and written communication skills.

  • Pass Safe Driver test

Responsibilities and Competencies:

  • Supervising treatment clients in daily living activities and responsibilities.

  • Maintain regular contact with Activities Director, Operations Director and the Clinical Director.

  • Participate in regular staff meetings as required by Operations Director.

  • Assist Admission and Intake Coordinator with intake for arriving clients. (Drug Screening, search belongings, etc.)

  • Coordinate exit surveys for Clinical team.

  • Provide transportation and supervision on activities, as planned by Activities Director.

  • Assist with daily morning and evening reviews in MIR workbook.

  • Monitor weekly Client Family Calls.

  • Coordinate with Clinicians and Clinical Director to provide support for relevant therapy assignments and MIR work.

  • Work closely with Activities Director, RN and Medical Director to ensure that clients health care needs are accommodated including medication refills and needed appointments that Activities Director may not be aware.

  • Attend morning huddle and required staff meetings and trainings.

  • Ensure the safety of all treatment clients at all times when at the Treatment Facility, during coordinated outside activities or while being transported.

  • Notify Operations Director and Clinical Director of violations of code of conduct, cleanliness requirements, program rules and other guidelines.

  • Administer random Drug Testing according to MOMENTA Policies and Procedures and in compliance with laboratory testing requirements.

  • Oversee self-dispensing by clients of prescription medications, complete observation of medication records.

  • Supervise good housekeeping in Treatment Facility for a physically safe and healthy environment.

  • Ensure that Treatment Facilities are ready at all times for tours, meetings, events, etc.

  • Responsible to report any vehicle maintenance requirements or concerns to Operations Director or Activities Director.

  • May be asked to facilitate groups, attend recreational or experiential activities with clients.

  • Record interactions pertinent to client therapeutic process and community activities in MOMENTA Electronic Health Record software.

  • Communicate inventory of Treatment Facility supply needs, furniture and physical plant conditions, and safety material/data resources with Activities Director and Operations Director during weekly staff meetings.

  • Monitor and promote “Good Neighbor Policy” in a manner consistent with MOMENTA philosophy and MOMENTA staff codes of conduct, and reflect the integrity of the community and the property.

  • Perform other duties within ethical scope of credentials and experience as assigned by the Operations Director, Clinical Director or Activities Director.
