Psychotherapist

Tell us a little about yourself:

Certified and Licensed Addiction Counselor, Life and Recovery Coach, Spiritual Advisor, explore and enjoy nature in the Rocky Mountains where we have all four seasons - huge for me because I was born and raised in Southern California. I have been a Physical Therapist, Cosmetic Tattoo Artist, and Mom to five amazing children, took a deep dive into my own healing journey at USM where I received a Master’s in Spiritual Psychology with an emphasis in Consciousness, Health and Healing - my 3-year project was ME!

What's your favorite part about what we do at Momenta?

Connecting with clients, helping them reframe perceived challenges as opportunities for growth and healing. Facilitating clients to move out of the “victim role” based on self-judgment, fear, and shame to living an "empowered life" centered around self-worth, honesty, and belonging.

What inspires you?

I am inspired by people who are interested in their own healing journey. My favorite quote from Brene’ Brown: "Owning our story and loving ourselves through that process is the bravest thing that we’ll ever do". I have learned to love myself and enjoy watching others learn to love themselves completely.

What do you do when you're not working?

Hiking and exploring with our three dogs, yoga, socking in local hot springs, meditation, sitting by the river, reading, spending time with family and friends.

What's something about you that not many people know?

I learned to speak Swedish at UCLA and studied abroad in Sweden learning Art History and then traveling around Europe by myself in the mid-80's for 3 months. I was on a game show with my best friend back in the 90's.
